Reunite....

It was a lazy rainy morning on the 30th of June, 2008 when it was me to go back to my alma mater, a place that had no special place for me in the four years I lived here but a month after I left the place, I wanted to be back..... :)

The new NIT act had come into place... State quota had been abolished and AIR now ruled supreme... It was a rule having mixed reactions ...On one hand where it would improve the talent pool coming to the insti, on the other hand it might dissolve the very frame work which we enjoyed about the institute... People came from different parts of the country and studying in NIT would have meant an experience of knowing India better....

Afterpassing out, it would seem as if we have friends in the remotest parts of the country, and it was such a great feeling... Everybody could connect with the different languages and all of a sudden abusing in different languages became a fashion.... :)

Whether it be the long "KHATTI" session, as it would have been called in Oriya or "bakchodi" as it would have been called in UP would commence, students in their groups would crack jokes and make merry..... What golden days were they!!!!!

Now, on the verge of joining services at a reputed organization, I'm on the crossroads of life... Reflecting back on those four years, brings back happy and sad memories, and the reaction becomes sort of inexplicable...

The NIT Rourkela campus had'nt undergone remarkable changes but it had definitely changed for the better.. It was great to still find old friends , especially theta, :) and hear from him abt the different ppl joining different companies... Maybe the time to abandon those golden memories had come, maybe its time to join the rat race.....
